    Hello! Thanks for all of the information you're giving in your videos it means a lot And i am actually going on gluten free diet and i am so new to this I've only been in it for a week and i thought i would ask you some questions on that.. like is gluten really has harmful effects on the body?? Do all people have to cut gluten out of their diet??or only people who are allergic to it ?? Is there a difference between being allergic to gluten and being intolerance to it?? Does gluten affects skin health and does it help with skin diseases?? Do i have to cut gluten out of my diet forever?? And what if returned to eating it back does it make everything worst?? And is gluten included products essential for a healthy diet and if so how can i replace it ?? I hope you answer my questions 💙

    Hi. I’ve had extreme facial numbness & puffiness (water like puffiness) since September 2016. I’ve seen numerous specialist - the being endocrinologist (apparently thyroid fine) even though she wasn’t happy with the first neurologist & his opinion on my brain scan. (Possible Rfyect cyst over purtirity tumour). Endo order another brain MRI 8 weeks later (it hasn’t grown). What surprises my is report says had from birth most possibly & when I was 21yrs old (now 45yrs old) it was never mentioned, I’ve been ruled out of hasmotis, syjorens, lupus, terimigal neuralgia, ms by 2 neurologist’s. Had 3 ENT specialists as raputured left ear drum in my sleep complete loss od heating. First ENT asked if I smoked cirgerrettes & when I explained I was quitting he told me there was nothing wrong (like seriously) & if he saw me again it would be a pleasure. Second ENT wanted I need to wait to see if it repairs itself (even though I told him it had been 8mths). 3rd ENT operated 7 days after first consultation. Myoplasty & a complete failure my hearing is nothing in left ear before surgery had 22%. I’ve seen a chiropractor, myotherapy & accuptune & Chinese herbs. I’ve spent over $28,000 plus $9500 for ear surgery & getting worse by the day. Had multiple tests & everything in the safe range. Had the CA125 blood test for ovarian cancer all negative. Have been tested for HIV & all other with a negative result. I’m about to lose my mine. I would value any feed back please as right now I have no idea how much longer I can take it. Sarah

      I’m also gluten & dairy free coming up to 7mths, I have a growth on my liver that they can’t say what it is for certain as in abdominal MRI it showed for 3mins outta 30min scan. Possibly FHN over aldoma waiting for 2nd abdominal MRI in 2 weeks. I did stop cortisone cold turkey (20mg daily) for 8mths (I know stupid) in November 2017. I’m getting worse everyday.

    I've had hypothyroid symptoms for quite some time now-hair loss, weight gain, brain fog, etc., and my TSH is in the normal range. I now have hives that started 5 weeks ago and they are unrelenting. I see an allergist Monday. I don't think it's allergy related and think it is most likely an autoimmune disorder given my symptoms. Can you have Hashimoto's with normal TSH? I'm about to go insane. I've been dealing with so many unusual symptoms for a long time now with no explanation and hives are the most distressing yet.

    • @DrDavidJClarkDC
      @DrDavidJClarkDC 5 років тому

      Yes, you absolutely can. It's called EUTHYROID Hashimoto's. That means you have Hashimoto's antibodies (TPO and/or TGB) but your TSH is not abnormal yet. Key point: your TSH does NOT have to be abnormal for you to feel bad. Research has proven that.

    Being on Levothyroxine nearly killed me- my drs office a couple years ago called me- no more armor only Levothyroxine WOULD NOT give me armor that worked very well for me for years - I do not convert T4 to T3 well. They only looked at TSH levels. Flash forward 3 years SICK AS ALL GET OUT and didn’t know what was wrong with me. I complained and they told me I was depressed and peri menopausal- with that changed doctors got full thyroid panel- Hashimoto’s! Put back on armor and in the process gave up all grains- I’m on the mend now and on my way to being healthy again!! Find drs like this one- he knows what he is talking about!

    I wish, I could see this Doctor. It took me so much time of research to learn, what he already was talking about in 2012... And I‘m trying so hard to find a doctor who even has a clue. Guess what‘s about my vit D... can even take a dosage of 20000 IU/day and can‘t raise it. Meanwhile PTH and serum calcium are high, so no chance at all.

    Hello, I am considering gluten free diet but I am afraid because my child can go without eating for days, and only wants carbs. She wasn't like that. Now she doesn't eat meat, vegetables, fruits or any beans or lentils. I feel helpless and I just don't want her to go without healthy food anymore! Any advise?..

    THANK YOU, Dr Clark! I’m perimenopausal since I was 40 after I have had the Gestagen containing intra-uterine coil and I have Hashimoto for about 11 years, my thyroid gland „doesn‘t exist“ anymore after this decade. I took bioidentical progesterone and almost had a total break down. Lost hair, lost my cilia that both used to be great in former times even with Hashimoto, that I never cared about before I took HRT. Even had no weight probs, in the opposite. I am running from gynecologist to internist and back - and n o t a s i n g l e one can bring this two hormonal issues together and treat them adequately. Ladies out there: take good care for yourself and check twice. Bioidentical doesn‘t mean harmless. And by the way: not natural at all. Just synthetics that „look and work“ like the originals.

    I have Hashimoto, I was tested for gluten sensitivity and it came back negative, I was told that even if that’s the case, avoid gluten since those of us with Hashi can still develop a gluten sensitivity later in life .

    You are right. I'm not hashimotos. I'm the opposite hyperthyroid. But you are right about Vitamin D. Was put on 50,000 UI per week and felt like a million bucks after week 4 on it. Was severely deficit of vitamin D, with levels only seen in third world countries.

    what about condition that you take thyroid medication while you have a normal thyroid hormone. Do you think this could possibly induce long term a thyroid condition? Basically a doctor who prescribes thyroid hormone off label and you taken it a couple of years.

    I have hashimotos and I'm hypo.. I don't eat dairy, soy, corn, gluten, no grains... I eat AIP/gaps/low fodmap, I pick and choose from each and can't eat very much at this point. I took naturethroid and my reverse t3 sky rocketed! I'm now on t3 and it worked at first. But it's not working now. What can I do? Do you accept new patients these days? If I treat my hashimotos with diet/supplements, heal my gut, will meds work? I suspect that the hashimotos is attacking the hormone I'm now taking (t3).
